FAQs

How much does it cost?

Every project is different, so there's no single fixed price - and that's actually a good thing. Costs depend on the complexity of your product, the materials involved, the level of engineering required, and which path you choose. What we can promise is full transparency: you'll receive a clear scope and cost outline before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Reach out for a free initial consultation and we'll give you a realistic picture of what your project involves.

Do I need engineering knowledge?

Not at all. That's exactly what we're here for. You bring the idea, the problem you're trying to solve, or the vision you have in mind - we handle the engineering and design expertise. We work with everyday people, entrepreneurs, and business owners, not just technical professionals. If you can describe what you want your product to do, we can take it from there.

What products do you work on?

We work across a wide range of physical product categories, including consumer goods, industrial equipment, tools and hardware, specialty devices, and more. Whether your product is simple or highly complex, mechanical or structural, a prototype or a production-ready design - if it's a physical product that needs to be designed and built, we're interested in hearing about it. We'll let you know honestly during your assessment if it falls outside our scope.

What’s the difference between paths?

These are the two core ways we work with clients, and the right one depends on your goals.

  • The Full Ownership Path is for clients who want complete ownership and control of their product. We design and engineer your product, deliver all technical documentation, and hand everything over to you. You own the IP (intellectual property), the files, and the manufacturing relationships. This path suits inventors, entrepreneurs, and businesses who want to own and commercialise their product independently.

  • The Product Supply Path is for clients who want the finished product without the complexity of ownership. We design, engineer, source, and supply the product to you on an ongoing basis. You don't need to manage manufacturing or suppliers - we handle it. This path suits businesses that want a reliable, custom product supplied to them regularly without the overhead of managing production themselves.

Not sure which path fits your situation? We'll help you work it out during your consultation.

Where are you based? Do you work with clients outside your area?

That's one of the most common questions we hear - and one of the most important. We offer idea viability assessments to help you understand whether your concept is technically feasible, commercially realistic, and worth pursuing before you invest significant time or money. We'll look at the idea honestly and give you a straightforward assessment, including any challenges you should know about. If it's not viable as described, we'll often be able to suggest alternative approaches that could still get you where you want to go.

How do I know if my idea is viable?

Timelines vary significantly depending on the complexity of the product, the path you choose, and how quickly decisions are made throughout the process. A straightforward product with a clear brief can move relatively quickly, while complex engineering projects naturally take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate as part of your initial scoping - and we'll keep you updated every step of the way. We don't rush quality, but we do respect your time.

We're based in Queensland, Australia, and we're proud to serve clients locally and across the country. While we love working face-to-face with Queensland-based clients, most of our process can be handled remotely - so location isn't a barrier. If you're interstate and have a great product idea, we'd still love to hear from you.
